Alfonso Herranz-Loncan

Alfonso Herranz Loncán is Full Professor of Economic History at the University of Barcelona and Director of the UB Research Centre in Institutions, Politics and Economics (IPERC). He holds a PhD in Economic History from the London School of Economics. His main research interest is the history of transport, public policies, economic growth and market integration, with articles published in the Journal of Economic History, Explorations in Economic History, Economic History Review, European Review of Economic History, Cliometrica, among others. He has been editor of the journal Economic History of Developing Regions and invited professor at the University of the Republic (Uruguay) and El Colegio de México.
