Paul Sharp

University of Southern Denmark

Paul Sharp is Professor of Economic History at the University of Southern Denmark, where he heads the Historical Economics and Development Group (HEDG). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Copenhagen, and degrees in both history and economics. His research interests include economic development, agriculture, trade, and the long-run development of Denmark. His work has been published in leading journals, including AEJ:MacroThe Economic JournalThe Journal of Economic History, and The Economic History Review, as well as in books with the University of Chicago Press and Cambridge University Press. He has received funding from Danish and international foundations, and he teaches courses in economic history, demography, and heterodox economics.
